Welcome GT class! I'm looking forward to going further into our studies of the cultures of the world with you with thoughtful
discussions, interesting questions and original research! Our year will start out with History Fair! Get ready GT class
because this project will likely require you to think, analyze and prove your arguments by performing original research. Sound
like a difficult challenge? Well, it is! Opportunity to learn many things await you. So, let's get started!
Below
is an outline of some History Fair items we will be covering for the next couple of weeks.
Getting started with
History Fair
GT: Please make a list
of five things that you would like to know more about (that you would like to write a research paper about).
After you write
down at least five topics you would like to researh we will go to the next step below.
GT: Discussions with teacher over research
paper topic selection.
09-03 thru 09-08
GT: SPARK class will meet in library.
General Note when finding sources--keep track
of all sources (using note cards). Your paper will need to site around three sources per paragraph. So
write a bibliography card that states all of the information needed to find the source + write how you plan on using the information
from the source in your paper.
